Paramount+ has offered a first look at its upcoming six-part adaptation of Treasure Island, starring David Oyelowo and Hayley Atwell, which makes its official UK debut on 12 October 2026.
UK & US Release Dates: Premieres on Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland on 12 October 2026, and on MGM+ in the US on 11 October 2026, with weekly episodes running through mid-November.

First-look images have been released for Paramount+’s major new adventure series Treasure Island, offering a glimpse into the gritty, high-stakes retelling of the legendary pirate saga.
Created for television by Robert Murphy (Vera, Shetland), the series follows young Jim Hawkins (Tom Sweet) and his fiercely determined mother, Bess (Hayley Atwell). After coming into possession of Captain Flint’s legendary treasure map, the pair are thrust into a brutal race across the Atlantic aboard the Hispaniola.
Surrounded by ruthless ambition and deadly secrets, Jim must navigate a treacherous world of shifting alliances. At the center of the voyage is the charismatic yet deeply complex Long John Silver (David Oyelowo), whose dark motivations challenge everything Jim believes about trust and betrayal.
The ensemble cast also features Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) as Aaron Graham, Tomer Capone (The Boys) as Billy Bones, Craige Els (Andor) as Mr Arrow, Tristan Sturrock (Poldark) as Captain Smollett, and Neil Pendleton (Outlander) as Mr Cameron.
Directed by Jeremy Lovering (Slow Horses), William McGregor (His Dark Materials), and Paul Walker (Riviera), the project is a joint production between Playground, Paramount+, MGM+, and FIFTH SEASON.
Episodes will drop weekly following the October premiere, culminating in the season finale on 15 November in the US and 16 November in the UK and Ireland.
